For best taste and texture, allow your cake to thaw completely at room temperature before serving. Enjoy up to 5 days at room temperature or wrap and freeze for up to 1 year.

This was the first year I was unable to be home with my family during the July 4th Holiday. The Holiday in my family has a special meaning because it also includes my little sister's birthday on the 5th and my parents anniversary on the 6th. Since I couldn't attend I sent them a taste of Savannah in the form of a Praline Layer Cake. I was amazed at the prompt shipping of this product. I was late in ordering and was afraid that it would not be here by Thanksgiving. I was not disappointed. The cakes were packed extremely well. I ordered a praline and a coconut cake. The praline cake was delicious and very, very sweet (as to be expected as the praline themselves are deliciously sweet). You have to limit yourself to small pieces, but that is okay, the cake lasts longer. The coconut was loaded with coconut, yummy. The only negative point is that it was not as moist as I would have liked. I understand that the cakes freeze well so I will have half of each cake awaiting for our Christmas day celebration.

Our daughter was home when her birthday cake was delivered, so there was no waiting in the hot afternoon sun on her front porch. Her cake was delivered as scheduled but not frozen! The plastic bag that contained the dry ice was empty except for a few droplets of water! I was totally surprised. Although the inner cake's container was cool to touch, the cake was thawing. It probably would have spoiled in the hot afternoon sun if she hadn't been home to bring it inside and unpack it and refrigerate it immediately. The cake looks great but the real taste test will be this weekend. No way to know where the dry ice leaked out? It didn't last in the two day shipping. I'm expecting the cake to taste as great as it looks from the reviews I have read.

My husband has always talked about how he would ask his mother for a caramel cake for his birthday when he was a kid, so I ordered this as a "jazzed up" version of a caramel cake for his surprise 80th birthday party with his brothers (ages 91, 83, and 73), and his sister (age 86) and they ALL said, "This reminds me of the cakes mom used to make for our birthdays" and I was so pleased and happy that they all enjoyed it so much and it brought back so many good and fun memories. The only bad thing is, there were NO leftovers to bring home to enjoy later...haha! Fabulous cake and it arrived in perfect condition for the surprise party!

Pros: Shipment arrived in a flash. Cake looked exactly as pictured. Ingredients are first-rate -- you can taste the quality. Cons: I love sweets, but this dessert was too much. My sister agreed, commenting that the dense, rich cake coupled with the icing between layers "tastes like a candy bar." I'd cut us two very thin slices, and we both were reluctant to finish them. I convinced her to bring the cake home to her husband. If he doesn't like it, and she can't find any other takers, she will be throwing it out and/or offering it to squirrels. Bottom line: This expensive cake looked and sounded delicious (based on customer reviews) but was a big letdown for this customer.

Scrumptious, I was a little nervous ordering this cake for easter desert. I always make passed down family recipes, but I took a chance and was pleasantly surprised. The cake was very moist and flavorful but the frosting was absolutely delicious.served with homemade ice cream, the perfect end to our holiday meal.

I sent this to my parents in WV and they have already called me to see when I am sending them another cake. It is nice to know that you can get a great cake for your family to enjoy even if you live far away. I will be ordering many more cakes from you.

When your "Cakes and Pies Special" email arrived a few days before my birthday, this lifelong praline fan decided it was time to splash out on an SCK praline cake. It lived up in every way to sky-high expectations as I drove it around to share with friends. I'll likely order another one come the Holiday season.

If there was ever a cake that could be labeled "SLAP YOUR MAMA GOOD" this cake would win that award. It was extremely rich, and it had that "WOW" factor. We purchased this cake for Christmas 2010. I also froze about a 1/4th of it, and it was absolutely to die for, even after it unthawed. We had problems w/the shipping. We will be making another purchase in the future.

I had this cake during my layover at the Atlanta airport. This cake is absolutely amazing!! Wish that I could buy it by the slice again instead of the entire cake. I'm afraid that I would eat the whole thing :) Such a delicious cake!
