I have been craving a good German chocolate cate and could not fine one. Then I remembered I used to buy a single slice of German chocolate from Savannah Kitchen in Hartfield Atlanta airport (where I also got my caramel Candy apple with nuts). The cake was totally frozen with hot ice in a cooler when I received it. I save it for Mother's Day and we all enjoyed it. Was moist and absolutely like I remembered it. I will definitely buy it again and again and again!

Discovered Savannah's candy kitchen while scrolling the internet for a vacation in Georgia. My husband favorite cake is German Chocolate and the one on the website looked delicious so I gave it a try, best German Chocolate cake we have ever tasted. We now order this cake about 4 times a year, this cake arrives well packaged and frozen and on time. The price may seem a little high but I have made them myself and it is not, besides treat yourself. Great job

This hidden gem is as delicious as it appears. Deviously scrumptious with it's full depths of moist chocolate cake. Topping isn't to thick and it tops the cake perfectly. German Chocolate cake was delicious, and was very moist, especially considering it had been frozen before delivery. Only disappointment was no pecans in the frosting, which nobody at the party had ever heard of, as all the german choc cakes in our area have nuts in the frosting, and they are nearly as critical an ingredient as the coconut. Wouldn't have been an issue if the description had listed this cake doesn't have nuts, or if an option was available to select with or without nuts.

O-M-G... this is the best German chocolate cake I ever put in my mouth and my boyfriend agreed. He wanted this cake specifically for his birthday! We were not disappointed! There was a wet plastic bag inside, which, I guess held dry ice at one time. The cake was completely thawed, but still good to eat. Really good cake!

We flash freeze our Layer Cakes to protect them in transit because of their delicate nature. It is normal for the cakes to be thawed upon arrival and this will not harm the cake. We do suggest placing them in the refrigerator or freezer for an hour or so before removing the plastic wrap so that it does not damage the icing when removed.

A neighbor of mine bemoaned the lack of decent German Chocolate Cake in our area. Having visited this site and after reading all of the wonderful reviews on Savannah Candy's products, I assured him that I could get him the best cake he'd ever tasted. So I purchased two, one for him and the other for my birthday next month. The price for the two cakes with free shipping was the best deal I've ever seen on shipped baked goods. The order arrived in perfect condition, which is really important considering it's been 110+ degrees where we reside and true to its Five-Star rating, the cake satisfied him on every level. I have been sending my Daddy your coconut cakes for the last 3 years for his birthdays,the last one being his 81st this past May. He has been in poor health for quite awhile now and doesn't have much of an appetite anymore. But when I send him these cakes he is like a kid at Christmas. Unfortunately, the standard ground shipping method only offers a date range and not a specific delivery date. If you would like guaranteed arrival on a specific date, we recommend upgrading the shipment which will allow the order to be shipped on the date you choose and arrive within 1 day with the overnight shipping method or within 2 days with the 2 day express shipping method. The cakes ship Monday through Wednesday or with the 1 day express shipping method on Thursday to make sure that they arrive before the weekend due to their more perishable nature.
