I had gophers sent to my Dad for his birthday. We visited Savannah Candy Kitchen when I was a kid and it made quite the impression on us. Having not been for many years, I hoped the candies would be as awesome as I remembered and they were!! My dad loved them. I just received an order of 27 Gophers. They've become my favorite candy since I'd visited Savannah 2 years ago. I brought a large quantity home with me when I last visited and have order them several times since. The packaging is really impressive - it came in a Styrofoam container in order to ensure the product arrived without heat damage (it's been in the 90's lately) and it was prefect. This is a first-rate company in all aspects and I highly recommend them.

I so enjoyed the Gophers. I am an RN. One of the Doctors in the ER bought us Gophers for Nurses Week. Each nurse received only 1 piece candy. I kept the wrapper and ordered my own box to share with friends and family. Now everyone is asking me for more candy. I love, love, love the Gophers. My wife and I first discovered Savannah's candy kitchen on a long weekend trip to Savannah. I had booked a romantic getaway and we were at the airport when we were informed our flight was overbooked. There had been bad weather the prior two days and people were everywhere waiting on flights. We were told that we could not get on the flight we were scheduled for. Unfortunately, our luggage did get on the plane (thats another story). Not wanting to miss days of our weekend getaway waiting for a plane, I got our tickets refunded and we hopped in the car for the 13 hour drive down to Savannah. When we arrived, we were tired and dirty but we needed to buy clothes since ours were now in Atlanta. We headed down town and the beauty and hospitality of your city soon made us forget all the problems of the past 17 hours. It was just by chance that we happened upon Savannah's Candy Kitchen. It was just what we needed. The smells of candy being made and the variety of the most incredible treats. Everything we tried was amazing. One item however stood out. Your dark chocolate pecan turtles are our favorite. I was so glad to find that we could get these online. Thanks for creating such a great product. I know its only candy but it makes us happy every time we eat one. It also reminds us of the beautiful place its made. Hoping to get back down and buy some in person, Art.

I was looking for a dark chocolate, pecan and caramel candy for my wife, and these were a good version of that type of candy. It was a bit more expensive than I'd normally pay, but the quality is there. I could have used more chocolate in each pecan patty, and the pecans could be bigger pieces, but the flavors are quite good.
