Warm Weather Shipping Policy

The quality of our products is very important to us, and we know it is very important to you too.  During this warmer time of year, extra care needs to be taken with all of our deliveries to prevent our items from melting.  Our warm weather shipping is active and applies to all shipments.  Because of this, a 2nd day ship method is required for some customers.  Please continue reading for more details. 

Beginning April 26 and expiring on September 30, warm weather shipping is in effect for all products. Our products are perishable and require special delivery methods during this time of year.  As a result packages shipping to our 4-6 day transit zones will be automatically upgraded to 2nd day air deliver and customers will be required to pay the second day air rates (check below to see if this affects you).  We apologize for any inconvenience.   Additionally, all perishable items will be shipped in insulated packaging with dry ice to ensure the quality of your order upon delivery. If you ship to our 1-3 day transit zones, your package will ship Ground unless you specify otherwise and it will include an insulated cooler and dry ice to ensure the highest quality.  There will be no additional charge for these ground services. 

We will only be shipping orders on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday so your order will not be in transit over the weekend. All orders, with the exception of Next Day Air orders, received after 2:00PM EST on Wednesday will ship the following Monday. No orders will ship on Friday. Unfortunately, as we cannot use UPS Express shipping methods to ship to PO Boxes, we are unable to accept deliveries for these during warm weather. Please make every effort to notify the recipient to be available to receive the package. We cannot be responsible for items damaged or melted while left unattended in warm weather.

  • Warm Weather Shipping Policy in effect from April 26 through September 30, 2011.
  • No additional fee will be charged for ground shipments going to our 1-3 day transit zones
  • Shipments going to our 4-6 day transit zones will be required to ship 2nd air
  • We are only shipping orders on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, except Next Day Air orders received by 2:00PM on Thursday.  Orders may be delayed to ensure that they do not travel over the weekend
  • All orders, except Next Day Air orders, received after 2:00PM on Wednesday with ship the following Monday.
  • Please notify recipient to receive the package
  • Shipments going to the following states will be required to upgrade to 2nd Day delivery:  ND, SD, NE, CO, NM, AZ, UT, WY, MT, ID, WA, OR, NV, CA, AK, HI
